A week without Facebook

It was a very interesting experiment to go without Facebook for awhile (Monday to Friday).  I deactivated my account and removed the FB App & Messenger from my iPhone.

I did catch myself reaching for my bookmarks or my phone a couple of times. After the first day I found myself calmer and the time I would usually waste on Facebook I sank into a couple of coding projects of mine.

I will be leaving my phone Facebook free and only log into it on the weekend, but next time I may hit the delete button.

Til next time….

Social Media & Time

I have deactivated my Facebook account.

I wasted thinking about wasted time and got thinking how much time to we collectively waste staring into the empty void that is Facebook ? Also I don’t think it is good for my mood.

Imagine the collective man hours I, WA, Australia or the World waste in the course of a day or a week and imagine what we could do if we used that time for something else.

So I will keep my account closed for  a week and see what happens.

Til next time…

Winter is over…

So winter is over and springs it here.

Life

It’s budget night and they didn’t kill the First Home Buyers Grant which is a good thing.

I can’t wait til the end of the year when I get closer to the end of my lease this constant saving and trying not spend money is driving me up the wall.

Work

Still no progress on the water at PCH 🙁

I wish my team was more reliable. I have signed a pledge if they get two months in a row with no unplanned absences I will put $200 into the Christmas Fund.

iPhone 8

The keynote is next week and I wonder if the upgrade will be temping enough for me.

Til next time….
